Our family of friends

I'm not going to lie... it's TOUGH being so far from our family!  I miss my mom and dad, and my sisters, and Eric's mom, dad, and sisters, every. single. day.  My kids miss them all too.  Sometimes we feel as if we live on the moon down here in Florida... it's like a different world.  If you're lucky enough to live close to your family, give them a great big hug and don't take it for granted! 

I especially miss our family when Eric is working every weekend and traveling a bunch.  Weekends are definitely the hardest time to be a "single mom" with 4 kids who are out of school and ready for some action!  At least during the week we stay busy with school, sports, and playgroups.  But the weekends drag on and it's especially tough when you see all of the other families out having a good time together. 

That's why I'm so grateful for the friends we've made here.  They have been so sweet to invite us over to play on the weekends, or to dinner, or along for their family outings.  They are our family, and our kids might as well be cousins.  What would I do without them??
