There's a first time for everything...

Since we've lived in Florida for almost 5 years, I'm kind of surprised this has NOT happened before... but for the first time we found a live snake on our lanai!!!  I so wish that I had run inside to get my camera but I was too busy trying to shoo it outside.  It was just a baby, and I'm pretty sure it was a brown water snake (harmless)... but STILL!  Oh. my. goodness.  A snake.  On our lanai.  Even though the lanai is technically "outside," we still consider it just another room in our house.  We constantly leave the sliding door open so it could've easily gotten inside.  Yikkkkes!!!  I had snake nightmares all night!
