Well, never say never! After years of saying I would "never" get a smart phone, I finally have one. It was the same way with the iPod when they first came out. I'm not sure why I resist technology so much... I think I get pretty set in my ways. I don't want any extra distractions. I want to live simply. But in the same way that a CD walkman just wasn't going to cut it anymore, my little flip phone had finally reached the end of its usefulness. It was having trouble keeping up with the group text messages from my friends when they were planning things. Two little arrows would pop up on the screen and just spin and spin and spin while it tried to process the group messages... I kept waiting for smoke to start pouring out of the top!
So anyways, I got my iPhone a couple of months ago and I LOVE it. How did I ever live without it? One thing I'm not sure I love though is the camera. I know it makes it easier to have a camera with me at all times instead of having to remember to bring my "real" camera everywhere... but the quality of the photos are just not as good. Plus we don't have the right OS on our computer, and the latest version of iPhoto, so the iCloud won't send our photo stream directly to our computer (are you following this?)! Which results in... a backlog of pics on my phone! I need to just remember to sync it up to the laptop every once in a while, just like I do my real camera, and upload the pictures. Instead, I just did this for the first time yesterday and now I have an album in iPhoto full of pics all out of order with the rest of my photos. It's kinda messin' with my system, if you know what I mean!
So here they are, for your viewing pleasure... a sampling of the latest pics from my iPhone (which I really do love)! Most of them are from instagram, which makes my ho-hum photos look fabulous!
