Sometimes...

Sometimes when you have like a bazillion kids, you just have to get away for the weekend.  You hop in the car with your friends and drive oh, say about 45 minutes away (so fortunate that we live so close to paradise!)

drink a few pina coladas

sit on the beach and read a book or two (without any children crying or needing their diaper changed)

lay in a hammock and maybe drink some wine

get all dressed up

eat dinner overlooking the water

and just have a little fun!

These girls have been my lifeline over the last 5 years.  Two of them were the very first people I met here in Tampa, and at the time we all had just 1 baby, all of them about 3 months old.  Since then we have added in friends and lots of kids... 16 total!!  We've been through everything together... pregnancy, breastfeeding, sleepless nights, screaming babies, toddler temper tantrums, and of course all of the fun stuff too!  I don't know how I would have survived without them!  So it was so nice to be able to get away for 2 nights, and hang out and just be US, instead of "moms!"
