**Poop-in-the-tub-update** We are on day SIX of these adorable, sweet, precious little babies pooping in the tub every night! I'm seriously considering never bathing them again... is there any other solution?!

I'm remembering my sweet, sweet friend Leslie (who wouldn't hurt a fly) and how frustrated she was with her oldest daughter consistently taking off her overnight diaper (of course filled with poo) and she would get it all over herself, her hands, her bed and then would have wiped her hands off on the walls, etc. You get the picture.
ReplyDeleteAfter a lot of constructive punishments, conversations, discipline, they finally landed on a solution. Her husband took their daughter and washed the poo off of her with cold water. And let her know that taking off her diaper and making a mess would always result in her getting cold water to clean her off. Never happened again.
Not that the twins are old enough to understand consequences of any kind. Maybe the bath time needs to be split up into older kids vs. twins, with the twins only getting barely lukewarm water to clean them? And maybe even one at a time under a spray nozzle (no water to sit in and relax) while the other one waits naked in her bumbo on the bathroom floor? And then switch them out? (I'm assuming there will not be happy babies with this method...but no poo might win in that decision)
Other than completely not being comfortable enough to poo, maybe they won't associate bath time with "poo time" any more??
Since I don't have little ones that's the best I could come up with Shay!
Hang in there - soon (hopefully!) this will all be a stinky, pooey, bleachy memory and you'll be the one relaxing in a bubble bath for once!
